1) 6 years old
2) uses Compact Flash memory cards
3) only 3.2 MP (2048 x 1536 rez)
4) has only one flash setting: blinding
5) slower than crap
6) battery hog
7) limited flexibility (can't modify shutter speed, etc.)
8) maximum 3x zoom (digital zoom is worthless, so I don't use it)
I want to get a digital SLR, but I'm torn between a Canon and a Nikon. I have my dad's old 35mm Nikon SLR, and I'm curious if anyone has ever successfully used traditional SLR lenses with a digital camera.
So... what camera would YOU recommend?

Great stocks, btw... maybe I'll use some of them sometime!
Thanks...and I've love to see what you come up with!
You're a very skilled craftswoman.
